"Best Styles" Mural of the East Dallas Oates and Ferguson Plaza Building Wall

Organized in 2012 Dap had received permission to decorate the side of a faded building in East Dallas so quickly he recruited and assembled a talented lineup of graffiti artist to collaborate on an extremely large scale mural. The theme was based of taking the art & science of graffiti and make it a mad chemist mix up and see where the artist can take it. Out came the paint rollers and spray cans to layout the foundation of the mural. Brian Scott Hampton helped drastically on the background design and layout to place the artist next to each other as well as tie in the decorative elements in the background with the actual graffiti typography lettering the foreground. If you are a fan of art work or graffiti support your local artist as they strive to make the best they can with many times the minimum money and paint to make artwork possible. Especially when a mural is erased it's a kick in the foot to those who pull to make something original happen in the world.

Unfortunately this mural no longer exists shortly after publishing the video of the creation process for the collaborative painting in East Dallas. We are not sure the reason why it was erased as we were given permission and it took many weeks of painting to have the whole wall completed but either way it was a lot of fun creating this with the great artists involved who dedicated everything to make this mural so stunning. Nobody was paid or sponsored so all the material costs came out of the artist's own funds; talk about a true passion for the street art. Many graffiti artist do not get paid to create their work which is hard on many struggling to keep pushing forward and stabilize themselves in a career of art. Please take a moment to watch the development of a massive explosion of high grade aerosol art created by this team of artist in 2012 who came together humbly and interacted with the neighborhood on this awesome mural.

The location of the mural was Oates Plaza in East Dallas (located off Oates and Ferguson), it attracted a lot of attention from the locals and all the artist were glad they could make something beautiful out of this dry and run down building side. Currently the businesses in the building are still there but the life of the entire building has long gone away with the removal of such high quality masterpiece as this one. Thanks to all the passer bus and artist who dedicated time and money in the making of this short clip. A big shout out to the artist involved who pushed the creativity as well as made some friendships along the way. It was a long process but in the end we were all glad to be part of the creative outlet.

Collaboartion mural by artist named Kema, Meoz, Dap, Brian Scott Hampton, Ronstafari, Mr (Grime Lab) & Ease One. Name of the video is Best Styles and the song is Deep Trouble by Grime Lab featuring Blueprint of Ryhmesayers.
